The research objective is the protection from unhealthy WF influence on the environment, welding operators and other workers; and using WF in the industry for manufacturing the industrial and communal products. It is found out the factors influencing the number density, disperse and chemical composition of the WF-particles and inhalable fractions (WF1, WF2,5 and WF10), as a result of the integral researches with using the modern methods of study of the chemical, molecular, disperse compositions, and morphology of the WF-particles, which are formed when the rutile, ilmenite and base covering electrodes are used in the arc welding in different regimes and spatial orientations. The new methodology of threshold limit values concentrations of the welding fume in the work area based on the selection sampling of the inhalable particles (fraction WF1) with the top biological ac-tivity is developed. The tendencies of the phase changes of the radionuclides 137Cs and 90Sr from the surface of nuclear polluted metalworks into WF, slag crust and weld metal, when covered electrodes are used, is defined. It is demonstrated the compliance of the fraction WF1 with requirements, which are demands to the catalytic multicomponent oxide systems, in particular it shows the catalytic activity in the reaction of an ozone lowtemperature decomposition, and is a chemisorbent of the acid gases. It is proved the expediency of combination of the processes as WF recovery, chemisorption of acid gases and ozone catalytic neutralization with using a single filter element (mesh electrode), where purification dust layer is formed. The proposed method of the serial selective purification of an air has the less power consumption; for its introduction the filter-fan equipment framed in the PCIEHP and the electrofilters with electrome-chanical WF settling was used. The making technique of the catalyst for air purification from the carbonic oxide is proposed. The theory of the heterogeneous ion-induced nucleation in the dusty plasma of arc welding fume, and the computing model of the forming of primary particles in WF are proposed for the first time. It is shown that the nucleation and nuclei growth are strongly depended from the ionization balance of envi-ronment in the condensation zone, which displacement caused by additional electronic sources (as the welding arc, emission from the particles, UV radiation). It is defined the size distribution of the primary particles, the procedure of the inhomogeneous structures forming (core-shell structures), the factors which determines the coagulation rate. The investigation results will use by the employees of the science-research organizations, design offices and industrial enterprises of Ukraine for the sanitary-and-hygienic assessment of the welding methods and regimes and welding materials; for the forecasting of an air radioactive pollution in the operation zone, where arc welding, cutting, resurface welding of the nuclear polluted metalworks; for the substantiation of the new methods and techniques of an air filtration, individual protection of the welding operators, modeling and forecasting of the biological effect of WF on the human body; for extends the scientific occupations about particles' forming in the ionized complex vapor-gas environment, and allows to control the particles' disperse composition, that necessary for design of the new welding materials with the improving sanitary-and-hygienic properties.
