Control of the process was carried out by designed controller on the line with a PC. The composite and multi-layer films (Mo, W, etc.) were prepared in a superposition HF and arc discharges. HF bias applied to the substrate composite coatings at low temperature deposition and applied metal coating on the insulating material. The method of finishing HF cleaning samples before coating allowed to exclude the presence of microparticles and microarcs taking place at standard arc cleaning. The water-cooled filter "open architecture" was applied to reduce the microdroplets from the arc cathode. As a result, the frictional characteristics of the samples were studied, when using HF and arc plasma sources together, and during operation only the HF source with the external magnetic field.
