The purpose of development of transfrontal projects is activation of socio-economic, scientific and technical, ecological, cultural development of subjects of transfrontal collaboration. In NDR decided scientifically methodical tasks which allow to define basic directions of transfrontal collaboration with Russian Federation within the limits of the Kharkiv and Sumskoy areas for providing of steady development of the European regions "Slobozhanschina" and "Yaroslav". As a result of analysis of territory of boundary region of Ukraine 7 knots of transfrontal collaboration were certain with Russian Federation. Each of certain knots of transfrontal collaboration is characterized the key trends of transfrontal collaboration, which determine his specialization. Development of transfrontal collaboration in certain knots will allow to provide a decision above all things of the most urgent problem questions and will provide forming of "centers of growth" within the limits of transfrontal region which in future must assist gradual development of all region.
