(= Cercaria duplicata). Infected mollusks found in 33 of the 162 investigated points (incidence 21%). In this animal infected R. campanula, was observed in 30 and Phyllodistonum sp. - 7 cases. Four points (2.5%) were found both species of trematodes. Species S. woodiana is free from infection. Sequencing of 28S ribosomal and ITS2 DNA showed that the investigated species are closely related. The differentiation between the two species Rhipidocotyle (R.campanula and R. fennica) by the structure of DNA 28S (3.78%) was close to intergeneric differences between these species and Bucephalus polymorphus (3,43 and 4,49% respectively). Based on molecular data Rhipidocotyle two species can't be regarded as more closely related to each other than with B. polymorphus. Detection of infected unionid R. fennica in Lithuanian populations suggests that this species is widespread not only in Finland but also in Central Europe. Preliminary findings of B. polymorphus unionid in these regions may be questionable, because as B. polymorphus can be determined R. fennica.
