Purpose of the work - to create a prototype of shunting locomotive of TGK2-GD converted for operation on dual fuel cycle, in which reduced operating costs are achieved thanks to substitution of more expensive diesel fuel with cheaper natural gas. To ensure the operation of the shunting locomotive TGK2 on dual fuel cycle, it was equipped with: a fuel supply system with compressed natural gas of U1D6-TK-C5-GD, as well as a system of automatic control of frequency (SACF) of crankshaft's rotating speed and a system of emergency-and-prevention alarm and protection.
