The purpose of the work - search of optimal conditions for directed modification of mesoporous silicas surface with halogenoalkyl groups. Methods of research - IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, x-ray diffraction analysis, low-temperature adsorption-desorption of nitrogen, chemical analysis. Silica materials with ordered and disordered mesoporous structure were obtained by sol-gel synthesis. Influence of (3-chloropropyl)triethoxysilane on the process of hydrolysis and polycondensation of tetraethoxysilane at different molar ratios of silanes and synthesis conditions were established. It was demonstrated that increase of hydrothermal treatment duration leads to the enhancement of surface area of silica composites. The optimal conditions for postsynthetic directed modification of external surface of template-containing silica particles of structurally ordered mesoporous silica of MCM-41 type with 3-chloropropyl groups in vapor phase were found. Immobilization of 3-chloropropyl groups in the surface layer of silica was confirmed by the results of IR spectral, thermogravimetric and chemical analysis of surface compounds. The assessment of structural characteristics of synthesized materials was realized by means of x-ray diffraction and low-temperature adsorption-desorption of nitrogen.Proposed approach can be used for synthesis of silica materials with ordered and disordered mesoporous structure for controlled release of biologically active substances.
