A purpose of the work is a determination of geometric and kinematic features of surface solitary wave at the interaction with a vertical wall. A research method is experimental study of the interaction of solitary wave with a vertical wall. Solitary wave is generated by ship model, which moves in shallow water within critical velicity range. The analysis of results on study of Mach reflection of solitary waves at a vertical wall is conducted. The detailed description of the experimental setup and the technique of conduction the experimental studies are presented.
