Conversion of glucose is studied with inorganic and organic catalysts, in the temperature range of 100-200 °C. Found organometalocomplex catalysts that are active at relatively low temperatures. This allows hydrolysis at temperatures close to 100 °C. Developed and patented an effective method of obtaining hydroxymethylfurfural, which is promising for high-energy biofuels from sugar biomass components in an aqueous medium under mild hydrothermal conditions.
