The aim of the work is elaboration of the data coding methods and tools for multimedia wireless sensor network, that allows to increase the reliability and functionality. The investigation methods are information and coding theory, residue number system, Galois fields, digital simulation and software emulation. We obtained the following results: the adaptive cod-ing method for the multimedia data transmission based on modular arithmetic and multipath routing is elaborated. This method uses the adaptive packets transmission based on multi-path routing. The modified corrective code of residue number system is elaborated and investigated. This method is characterized by the simplified procedure of check symbols calculation and it provides the five times increasing of performance in comparison with another cor rective codes. The use of corrective codes based on residue number system in wireless sensor network allows to increase the reliability and network capacity due to decreasing of the retransmissions, calculating complexity and coding time. The obtained results increase the functionality of the wireless sensor networks for multimedia data acquisi-tion.
