For Ukraine, relations with Russia are critical not only in terms of its policy of European integration but also its independence and sovereignty. This requires analysis of the status and trends of Ukrainian-Russian relations. At this stage of research there were formulated foreign policy strategy of Ukraine in relations with Russia, which is designed to ensure the stability of Ukrainian-Russian relations and conflict-free integration of our country into the structures of European and Euro-Atlantic security and solving specific application problems that give rise to a crisis in relations with Russia. The main aim of research is to study the economic, geopolitical, foreign, domestic, security aspects of Ukrainian-Russian relations, the development of strategies based on the foreign policy of Ukraine in relations with Russia and identifying key areas of implementation. Object of study: Ukraine's foreign policy. Purpose of the study: international relations that arise between Ukraine and Russia. All study period: 2001-2012 years (retrospective effectiveness analysis ) 2014-2020 (forecast of the situation ). Limitations: In the study can only be used scientific attested and duly approved (verified) methods . The purpose of the second, intermediate stage of research is to develop a strategy of foreign policy of Ukraine in relations with Russia in the years 2014-2020 and preparation of the Action Plan for its implementation. For the purpose, objectives of the second phase are: 1. Rationale for the method of prediction. 2. Determination of the basic mechanisms of influence of Russia in the region. 3. Determination of the basic mechanisms of RF exposure on a global level. 4. Determination of the main levers of influence on the policy of the Russian Federation Ukraine . 5. Definition (forecast) initial conditions for the implementation of the foreign policy objectives of Ukraine in 2014-2015 and 2016 - 2020. 6. Calculation really possible achievements of Ukraine in relations with Russia. 7. Strategy formulation of foreign policy of Ukraine in relations with Russia in 2014-2020 years. 8.
