A purpose of the work is the investigation of fundamental physical properties and the creation of artificial near-wall and supercavitation flows with prognostic features, the development of new calculation and optimization methods for the unsteady hydrodynamical processes. Research methods are experiments in the water tunnels; analytical, asymptotical and numerical solutions of boundary problems for the motion equations of the ideal and the viscid fluid with taking into account the motion of drops, heat transfer and vaporization; computer simulation. Investigations of the gas-loss for the developed cavities closure on the hulls of bodies; gas flows between flat plates of the liquid and the rigid body; dynamics of supercavitating vehicles (SCV); the lateral and arbitrary 3-D motion of SCV for 3 types of control; effectiveness of different flow patters in order to reduce the drag of high-speed underwater vehicles and range increase of their inertial motion are presented. The general non-linear problem for the planing body is solved.
