These hybrid molecules not only exhibit significantly higher antineoplastic effect than their predecessors, but also lead to much faster induction of apoptosis in target cells. Synthetic 4 thiazolidone derivative Les-3661 was also shown to possess antitumor activity in vivo in two models of myeloid tumors - murine NK/Ly lymphoma and L1210 leukemia, leading to 1,6-2,5-fold increase of survival of tumor-bearing animals depending on the tumor model. These data indicate on a high promise of future clinical studies of this drug in experimental animals. On basis of obtained results a patent application has been submitted to Ukrainian patent office, and three abstracts were published in conference proceedings.
