The object of research is design processes of problem-oriented processors for hardware implementation of modern SSC control algorithms. The research methods are DS control techniques under uncertainty, methods of linear algebra, stability theory and theoretical mechanics, theory of design computing systems, fixed and floating point arithmetic. A PLD-based problem-oriented processor is developed for the implementation of estimation and control algorithms for floating point data format (single precision) using the Xilinx ISE (Integrated Software Environment) computer aided design and its modeling is fulfilled by means of ModelSim Xilinx Edition III v.6.1 e. Unlike the traditional the von Neumann architecture, it is characterized by the algorithmic universality and the architecture of reconfigurable devices is also characterized by the structural versatility and allows one to create a framework for an arbitrary algorithm, where the structure varies dynamically depending on the task (algorithm) performed rather than remains stable. Due to PLD, the designed processor effectively uses the reconfigurability principle that allows one to set a PLD crystal on the effective realization of a specified algorithm by means of simple reprogramming. The reconfiguration of the structure is fulfilled by recording the configuration file to the PLD chip. The algorithms for estimation of the state vector, DS parameters and control are developed which are suitable for transfer to PLD-based problem-oriented processor. In particular, computational experiments were performed for a test example of SSC, where the characteristics of control processes obtained using the developed processor were compared to the similar characteristics obtained with the help of a specially designed PC software. The experimental results demonstrated a high accuracy and speed of the processor and, consequently, the potential for its use in more complex real systems.
