Ceramic shields were found to decrease energy comsumption and raise the axial temperatur gradient in the crystallization zone. Developed was the procedure for the analysis of the dynamical parameters of sapphire crystallization by the Kyropoulos method. The processes of sapphire crystallization along the crystallographic direction were realized for working out the technology of the growth of the crystals with a weigth up to 30 kg.
