Our data show that flokalin really is an effective inhibitor of electrical and contractile activity of cardiomyocytes due to the "discovery" cardiac ATP channels and that his property may largely underlie cardioprotection. However, flokalin was also able to block voltage-sensitive sodium and high-activated calcium channels, but because it is his side property must be taken into account when determining the therapeutic dose of the drug when it is used as a cardioprotector.
