Carried out the comparative characteristic of the main catalysts (Ni, Co, Fe), investigated the morphological structure of carbon depositions obtained at different temperatures. Efficiency of different technological approaches is analysed for realization of the vapour phase catalytic deposition of carbon, it is shown that the increase of gas through a reactor does not result in the increase of the productivity of processes, that shows lack of diffusion restrictions speed catalytic reactions in all experiments. Experimentally confirmed that the replacement of natural gas (methane), to propane-butane mix increases output of catalyst carbon fiber and reaction rates at least 2.5 times, and the carbon deposited from vapour phase have a purity level better than 1·10-5%.
