In this connection the improvement of management becomes especially actual by publishing houses and booktrading organizations, enterprises on the basis of the use of principles of management and marketing, providing of the strategic going near their activity that comes true by means of marketing management. A research object is a management process marketing in book industry and booktrading. The article of research is totality of theoretical and practical aspects of management by marketing activity in book industry and book trading. A research aim is to form the conception and model of marketing management and mechanism of their introduction in the book matter of Ukraine. Methods of research: scientific (analysis, comparison, generalization, deduction), statistical (determination of averages, grouping of numeric data, analysis of rows of dynamics, establishing connections between the arrays of data), economic and mathematical (research of functional dependences), expert estimation, sociological, prognostical.
