Purpose - to study the interaction of air pollution, the regime of meteorological variables and synoptic conditions over the North-Western Black Sea Coast. The problem of air quality is the most urgent task for national security of Ukraine. The intracellular accumulation of contaminants in the industrialized regions of the country are one of the factors of progressive environmental and economic crisis. Research methods - processing of meteorological data of different origin and of the level of air pollution, synoptic analysis, mathematical modeling of meteorological processes. The study materials - information about the content of harmful substances in the air at Odessa’s stationary posts, meteorological observations at the stations Odessa-GMO, Odessa-Port, Odessa-AMSC, Yuzhny-port and Illichivsk-port, radiosonde observations over Ukraine at 00 UTC (Odessa, Kiev, Simferopol, Kharkiv, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Uzhgorod, Chernigov), an electronic archive of synoptic maps (Surface, AT850, AT700, AT500, AT300) and satellite images, reanalysis data of the National Center U.S. Climate Prediction (NCEP / NCAR), the results of model calculations of three-dimensional trajectories HYSPLIT. Characterized the circulation types using analysis of synoptic material and mathematical modeling.
