The purpose of research: to improve the diagnosis of traumatic injuries of the spine in children and degenerative diseases of the spine in adults through a comprehensive application of radiation research. The object of study - traumatic spinal injury, degenerative diseases of the spine. Subject of investigation - X-ray signs of traumatic injuries and degenerative diseases of the spine. Methods: clinical and laboratory research, radiation techniques: X-ray, rentgenogramometry, rentgenodensitometry, CT, MRI, mathematical modeling of three-dimensional spine to support the beam characteristics of traumatic vertebral changes in the age aspect. Analysis of the literature shown that this problem topical for the development and introduction of new and effective methods of diagnosis of traumatic injuries and degenerative diseases of the spine in the age aspect. The use of improved and developed methods of radiation diagnosis of patients with traumatic injuries and degenerative diseases of the spine in the age aspect contributes to their early diagnosis and improved early and late outcomes, more rapid recovery and return patients to normal life. Materials research were confirmed: 3 - training aids, 11 - patents, 1 - methodological recommendations (approved by Ukrainian Ministry of Health), 3 - innovations, 28 - articles, 42 - thesis.
