Purpose - to study the theoretical and methodological principles of statutory auditors and audit firms as entities and to bring legislative and regulations that govern their activities in line with international standards in the area of prevention and counteraction to legalization (laundering) proceeds of crime or terrorist financing. Research methods - analysis, synthesis, classification, ordering, grouping, comparison. Results and novelty of the research lies in the scientific foundation of organizational and methodological support of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine inspections of auditors (audit firms) as entities and in the development of proposals for settlement legislation of Ukraine on combating legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime or terrorist financing, subject to the annual address of the President of Ukraine to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Conclusions and results of research work implemented in the current activities of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and will be used to develop regulations aimed at proper performance of Finance liabilities with state regulation and supervision in the area of prevention and counteraction to legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime or terrorist financing, to auditors (audit firms) during performance of their duties entities.
