A procedure was developed for determination of nitrogen content in the molten zone at (EBCZM) by measuring hardness and specific electric resistance. A device applying different variants of silicon single-crystal doping by nitrogen at EBCZM was developed, manufactured and tried out in operation. Influence of nitrogen additive on electrophysical characteristics of silicon single-crystals was studied. Structure and mechanical characteristics of silicon single-crystals doped with nitrogen were investigated. Upgrading of the inverter power source and small-sized electron beam gun was conducted, in particular, its optical and deflecting systems were retrofitted to perform welding with programmed heat input during repair-restoration operations in space, as well as on the ground. Improved beam control device PUL-165 for simultaneous operation with low-ohmic deflection system. Conducted technological experiments on welding aluminium and titanium alloys.
