Paton Electric Welding Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 This study was dedicated to the development of materials and technologies for production of domestic bimetal lining elements. The technology was developed for manufacture of bimetal wear-resistant plates by the flux-cored strip cladding method. This process is characterized by a combination of good quality of the deposited layer and high productivity of the process. Under the project, the flux-cored strip cladding technology was optimized on plates measuring 3000 x 1500 mm and 5.0-12.0 mm thick by using the customer's equipment. Thickness of the deposited layer was 4.0-17.0 mm. The lining elements are made from the clad plates by cutting, bending and rolling. This makes it possible to use them for manufacture of various parts and structures operating under abrasive wear conditions (hoppers, conveyers, chutes, cyclone separators, smoke exhausters, pipelines, sieves, truck bodies, etc.). Investigations of various cutting methods proved the efficiency of the plasma process.
