Brazing filler metals were developed for efficient repair of drill bits and heads. Structure and strength of the following joints were studied: VK-10 hard alloy + diamond-set hard metal alloy cutter and steel + diamond-set hard metal alloy cutter. Influence of temperature-time modes of heating at repair on drill bit wear resistance was investigated. Technological process of repair of drill bits and heads with diamond-set hard metal alloy cutters was developed. Technologies developed by the E.O.Paton Electric Welding Institute of the NAS of Ukraine for repair of drilling tools and reconditioning of structures of drill bits and heads for oil production were introduced at OJSC "O.F.
