Research object: acute viral infections in children (rotavirus gastroenteritis).Research subject: prevalence of rotavirus infection; patients' anamnesis of life, family history, catamnesis; peculiarities of clinical symptoms; diagnostics optimization and treatment of rotavirus gastroenteritis. Research methods: clinical, clinico-laboratory, imunochromatografic analysis and ELISA for determining a rotavirus antigen in stool and Ig A, M and G in blood serum, sIg A in salivary liquid and fecal samples. Level detection of Alkaline phosphates in blood and patient fecal samples. Statistical analysis of the research results is done by application of STATISTICA packages 6.0 (Statsoft Inc., 2001) and "Microsoft Excel".The aim of research: to improve diagnostics of acute viral infections in children, to define their basic factors and to promote efficiency of treatment. Firstly it is conducted the complex research of rotavirus infection at the modern stage, which included the study of clinical duration of disease, depending on the degree of weight and age of sick children, pathogenic and immunological indexes of illness. It is grounded possible approaches for violations correction and optimized treatment. First the state of general (Ig A, M, G in blood serum) and local (sIg A in a salivary liquid and fecal samples) immunity is conducted in the research. Found that a severe degree of the disease is characterized by reduction of Ig G with the absence of Ig A and M growth. Together with it found out violation of local immunity as level growth of sIg A in salivary liquid and its decreasing in fecal samples. These dates point on the protracted course of the disease and slow elimination of causative agents. The activity of Alkaline phosphates in blood serum and fecal samples for in-depth understanding of rotavirus infection pathogenesis in children, depending on the disease severity and age of sick children is studied here. It is set that activity of Alkaline phosphates in blood serum can be damage marker of the mucus membranes of gastrointestinal tract. It indicates the sharp increasing of Alkaline phosphates activity in blood serum on the background of the disease severity. It was determined the certain markers of the disease severity due to the correlation analysis between the investigational indexes of humoral immunity and activity of Alkaline phosphates. Clinico-pathogenic ground of Saccharomyces Boulardii (Enterol) usage in the combined treatment of the patients with RVI.Key words: rotavirus infection, children, immunity, Alkaline phosphates, Saccharomyces Boulardii.
