The aim of the project was the identification of the specific gene expression profiles in glial tumors associated with multiple pathways of their arising and development of the signature on the basis of differentially expressed genes, that can be used for the determination of the molecular variants and prognostic evaluation of astrocytic gliomas. As a result of the project , data were obtained on the changes of expression of potential diagnostic and prognostic valuable genes in glial tumors, which allowed to classify subtypes of astrocytic gliomas, in particularglioblastomas, and to identify genes whose expression level may serve as a prognostic marker .
