The levels of variable stresses, which operating in the butt welded joints of ribs of inflexibility and sheet overtook and also in butt connections of wall and belts of cross-beam is established. Influence of geometry of weld on the level of maximal variable stresses in the area of weld is showed. Fatigue life of the butt welded joints with strengthening of weld in initial and treated by high-frequency mechanical peening (HFMP) the states is experimentally proved. It is showed the effectiveness of HFMP treatment of the butt welded joints of operating metal structures with different levels accumulation of fatigue damages.
