The research aim was to extend perspectives for using mesenchymal stem cells and improvement of their quality by genetic modification and cryopreservation. In the research there were used current methods of the studies such as cultural, immunohistochemical, cytofluorimetric, histological and programmable freezing. Results and their novelty. The obtained results may be used to isolate, culture, cryopreserve and use placental mesenchymal stem cells in clinical practice and to study a possibility of treatment of human pathology in Callithrix jacchus. The obtained results testify to possibility of effective isolation of placental cells, expressing mesenchymal stem markers and storing them when culturing. Chorial membrane from which a high number of cells was isolated by enzyme method is an effective source of placental mesenchymal stem cells both in human and marmosets. It was established that the cells had a high proliferative and metabolic potential, therefore they might be effectively cryopreserved and transported not only in cryopreserved state, but also in nutrient medium with no cryopreservation.
