Tasks of the research: to justify a need of establishing a reserve zone on the island shelf of the Antarctic Peninsula: building a 3D model of the MPR (Stella Creek) and its description; to develop a management plan for marine protected regions Stella Creek and Skua Creek; to compile a database of genes (that are responsible for withstanding extreme conditions) of a selected group of marine benthic organisms.
