The rivers' network can provide forecasted electricity production about 780 million kW/h per year. This amount can replace 0,3 million tonns of fossil fuel (in oil equivalent) consumption as well as reduce the green gasses emission as much as 0,78 million tonns per year. The presented results of efficient flood preventing measurements in Ukraine showthat losses caused by only floods in 2008 were estimated as 6 billion grivna.
