Activity of biosensor was tested according to responses to the substrate acetylcholine. At the next step sensitivity of the biosensor was evaluated to various toxic substances, the major environmental pollutants and food toxicants (glycoalkaloids and neurotoxins, reversible inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase, organophosphorus pesticides and heavy metal ions as irreversible inhibitors of acetylcholinesterase), and investigated the possibility of regeneration of enzyme activity with specific reagents (reactivators). Possibility of regulating the sensitivity and selectivity of the biosensor and the possibility of repeated use of biosensors for inhibitor analysis of toxicants was demonstrated.
