Based on obtained mineralogical and petrographical characteristics it has been possible to detect changes in lithological-petrographic properties of rocks, caused by the influence of technogenous factors upon sedimentary strata of the coal rock massif, in the course of the mining work execution. The use of their results as one with prerequisites for assessment of the potential for gas presence in the worked-out coal rock massif (by the complex of lithological-petrographic, petrophysical and mineralofluidological data) have been substantiated.
