The goal of study – to carry out the technology auditing and evaluation and assessment of efficiency of the constructed wetlands in terms of purification of domestic wastewaters, to develop recommendations towards general and specific improvements of the above mentioned purification facilities. Research methods – field surveys; sampling and laboratory analyses of wastewaters (physical-chemical, chemical and bacteriological indices); statistical analyses; expert evaluations. Theoretical and practical outcomes: selection algorithm for choosing optimal technology parameters for ensuring effectiveness and efficiency in performance of constructed wetlands; field survey and laboratory analytical results for 16 existing constructed wetland sites in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine; original methodology for technology assessment and auditing.
