Changes in the high-voltage pulse capacitor ИМП-50-1 construction (in a metal case) are made to enhance its durability at the expense of the increased electrical strength of the working dielectric of capacitor's sections. As the working dielectric of the capacitor sections the film dielectric made by combination of a rough polypropylene and smooth polyethyleneterephthalate films impregnated with transformer oil having working voltage stress 95.2 kV/mm sufficient for the preset mean lifetime is used. Rated capacitor voltage is 50 kV, rated capacity is 1 µF, inductance is 400 nH. Modernized construction of the capacitor is suitable for 3 operating modes of the oscillating discharge.
