The objective of this research was to experimentally justify the expediency of creation and application of the most effective hydrophilic ointment of drug preparation “Marepolimiel” in treatment of inflammatory and wound skin processes of different genesis. The choice of ointment base and the most effective concentration of ointment form for “Marepolimiel” preparation was justified. Research showed that ointment based on PEG-400:PEG-1500 (2:8 ratio) containing 50 % of “Marepolimiel” standardized sea water mineral complex exceeds ointments of this preparation on different bases by anti-inflammatory, wound healing and local anesthetic activity and by antimicrobial spectrum. Also, in treatment of different experimental models of edema (karragenine, histamine and serotonine) “Marepolimiel” ointment showed anti-inflammatory activity respectively 2,09 times (Р<0,05), 1,42 time (Р<0,05) and 1,77 times (Р<0,05) superior to that of reference preparation – “Vulnusanum” ointment.
