The purpose of the project is to develop the analysis of a current state of the theory and practice of use of metal-dielectric waveguides and measuring devices, based on them, identify their advantages, disadvantages and ways of their improvement. Problem definition. It is necessary to solve problems to achieve this goal: - to carry out the theoretical analysis of a plain metal-dielectric waveguide and develop the basic measuring elements on its basis; - to carry out structural synthesis of measuring instruments of the plain metal-dielectric waveguide (PLMDW) parameters, the module and argument of complex coefficients of reflection and transfer of plain metal-dielectric waveguide devices; - to develop mathematical models and algorithms of processing of the measuring information from power sensors of calibrated microwave transducers; - to investigate experimentally the developed samples of the waveguides, the waveguide elements and measuring instruments of their parameters. Research methods - a method of geometrical electrodynamics; topological analysis method; computer modeling; method of statistical tests; experimental studies of the made transducers.
