The principles of markets' functioning were analyzed and background laws were described. Also the detailed description of infrastructure and systems of commodities' delivery, standardization and realization was undertaken. The fish markets' implementation impacts on the prices' level and monopolization were studied. The evidences were applied to Ukrainian case, and the common scheme of organization of port-based wholesale markets with auction pricing mechanism in Ukraine was drawn.
