Objective is the study of an electromagnetic fields, natural frequencies and self-excitation thresholds for open microcavities and microlasers, development of mathematical models and algorithms for computer analysis. The method of investigation is a numerical simulation using convergent algorithms for the Maxwell equations with exact boundary conditions and radiation conditions. Results are two-dimensional model for the microcavity laser build in the form of two optically coupled dielectric disks with one active and the second passive. The effects of co-existence of plasmon resonances on lattice and in grating of nanostrips . The study of the graphene strips and graphene disks as resonant scatterers and absorbers in the terahertz waves.
