Natural producer of LaA Streptomyces cyanogenus S136 and cancer cell lines to be treated with LaA are the object of the work. Goal of the work - to develop biotechnology for generation of subgram quantities of LaA and studies of its mechanism of action on mammalian cells. LaA overproducing strain has been developed that shows high productivity on a liter scale. LaA was shown to be efficient against cancer cells having acquired resistance to known drugs.
