It were developed a mechanism for supplying the sample and hold, the system for determining the deviation angle of the magnetic pendulum, the system to control the stepped motor, sensor supplying the sample, and the hardware and software to pass the data to the computer. At the Laboratory of Tribology of Dynamical Systems of the Ecole Centrale (Lyon, France), a series of experiments to study the dynamics of the dry sliding interface between the elastomer (polydimethylsiloxane) with microscale roughness and glass substrate has been done. Analysis of the experimental data was carried out during a visit of French scientists to the Institute of Physics of NAS of Ukraine. It was developed a theoretical model that takes into account the aging of the contacts in the interface friction, and computer simulations for this model have been done. It was found a general scenario of the onset of sliding in the friction interface.
