We started translational research of PKD1 and PKD2 expression in gastric malignant tumors. These studies showed that the level of PKD2 expression in tumor samples was much higher than in control gastric tissues. Moreover, the level of PKD2 expression correlated with the tumor stage and presence of metastases. The test-system for differential detection of human PKD1, PKD2 and PKD3was developed.
