The methodology which is used to account and measure the trees in urban plantings is provided. 460 ancient and rare valuable trees are identified in the city. They belong to 50 woody species. Location of the trees is defined, the coordinates are determined by means of the GPS- system. The age and viability of trees, height and trunk diameter of each tree are estimated. Detailed botanical description of the revealed species is given. 64 trees are offered to get the status of protected trees.
