Based on the analysis of current issues of identification and nomenclature of hazardous substances examined the advantages and disadvantages of the systems, rules and regulations governing the determination of substances which are or may be located on the territory of Ukraine. The practical value of the work is to develop a handbook of hazardous substances, which systematized data on key information, rules for safe handling, recommendations for transportation, emergencies exploration area and use of chemical and radiation monitoring devices by SSoE units.
