Theoretical basics of processes of formation, driving and interaction with a surrounding medium of the sprayed water jets in a fire zone are covered. Problem questions concerning application of the latest methods of suppression of fires by means of sprayed water are analyzed. The considerable attention is paid to application of water curtains for screening of heat fluxes in a fire zone for the purpose of environment protection and restriction of distribution of a fire. Results of research are presented in the form of the graphic dependences received by means of mathematical model. On the basis of these dependences the drawn conclusions concerning design and practical application of means of formation the sprayed water jets and monitoring of their tactical parameters. The criteria system concerning application of the sprayed water jets for fire suppression and protection against heat fluxes was justified theoretically and experimentally. The received results are new as they have no analogs among the published scientific works on this direction of researches. The main scope of the received results is fire protection.
