The essence of the project is to establish the characteristic parameters of acoustic emission (AE) signals which accompany the failure of nuclear reactor vessel steel. It is planned to create a working model of a portable 8-channel equipment for AE-diagnostics of nuclear reactors vessel. With the developed equipment will be can determine the coordinates of the location of defects of different origin on the object of control during their nucleation or development, make quantitative analysis of the signal and to determine the degree of risk of defects in these parameters.
