Relevance of research is that an adequate and comprehensive planning surgical removal of tumors functionally important areas of the brain with the use of surgical navigation technology can reduce the likelihood of movement disorders and improve treatment results in tumors that are distributed in functionally important areas. Scientific novelty lies in the fact that the planning of surgery using neuronavigation technology allows noninvasive tumors to determine the ratio of functionally important brain structures to conduct mapping of the cortex ( with visualization of local areas of pathological activity and extrapolating them to the appropriate anatomical structures of the brain ). This allows you to determine the degree of preoperative stage, the risk of neurological deficit , surgical treatment plan , optimize the surgical approach , make intraoperative surgical manipulation control at all stages of tumor removal and minimize unintended consequences with surgery , and if they occur in a timely manner to carry out the necessary rehabilitation . The practical value of the results is that an adequate planning of neurosurgical interventions involving neuronavigation technology can improve the results of treatment of patients with tumors of functionally important areas of the brain by minimizing the risk of postoperative motor disturbances and improve postoperative quality of life of patients with brain tumors.
