Research methods: optical, magneto-optical, electronic microscopy, X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy. Nanoscale layers of iron-garnet crystals for magneto-plasmonic crystals were synthesized by reactive ion-beam sputtering, their properties were investigated. Magneto-plasmonic crystals were created and researched. Magneto-plasmonic crystals characteristics are: on the base of structure iron-garnet film/bismuth nanoball with localized surface plasmon polariton - threefold increase of the Faraday rotation angle and doubling of magneto-optical Q-factor, on the base of structure iron-garnet film/gold grating - 400-fold increase of the intensity equatorial Kerr effect compared with the original films. Application field is magnetic microelectronics, magnetooptics, magnetophotonics, plasmonics.
