It has been established that resistant forms at the leaf tube formation stage have greater growth and a correspondingly larger plant height. In regenerated plants and plants R1 detected twice the level of free proline. Established significant differences in yield between the positive control and resistant forms of plant at the: height, number of grains per plant and from the main spike, grain weight from the main spike and plants. Testing plant seed R1 generation confirmed their resistance, that suggesting about genetic determination of the resistance to stress-factors. It was shown somaclonal variation in regenerated plants, derived from resistant callus lines for ploidy level, as well as the cytological stability of R1 plants. It was established that using primers specific to the gene Dreb1 of 3A and 3B wheat chromosomes can be differentiated resistant and unresistant to water deficit genotypes as the expected amplicons were present in the spectra of the PCR products of all resistant and non-available in unresistant forms.
