The purpose of the research is development of the technological processes of local weakening of different strength and structure of the rocks of a predetermined volume, development and implementation of the portable small-size equipment for realization of the method. During development of skiff and semi-skiff rocks with strength over 20 MPa at hard-to-reach terrains the high-voltage electrochemical explosion is proposed which provides efficient destruction of rocks and smaller overall weight and size parameters of the equipment. Computations were applied to determine the dependence of the necessary quantity of energy for destruction of rocks with different strength, blast-hole depth h=0,5 m, and the predetermined radius of destruction. Taking into account these data the technological process of local weakening of rocks and the respective equipment were developed; the performance and specific energy losses were established. The experimental prototype of the generator was produced, and operating documents were prepared. The equipment providing the energy release to 500 kJ (the value necessary for rocks destruction) in the course of the high-voltage electrochemical explosion is produced. The dependence of the total energy of the high-voltage electrochemical explosion and the weight of the high-energy mix is established. The technological process was proved in industrial conditions, and recommendations were prepared for wide implementation. Practical value of this research is the creation of the portable small-sized equipment for local destruction of high-strength rocks by the high-voltage electrochemical explosion.
