Karazin popup.description2 Objective: To find ways to optimize the ecological network of Kharkiv Region by methods of landscape and environmental planning. The subject of the study is development areas of regional ecological network optimization based on ecological and geographical features analisis of the landscape area differentiation. Methods: landscape- ecological, statistical analysis and forecasting, GIS modeling. Current state of ecological network of Kharkiv region, has been assessed, regional landscape differentiation has been analysed and cartographic works using geoinformation technology. Have been developed. Based on theoretical findings regarding the use of landscape planning methods in environmental studies. The optimization of regional ecological networks structure have been developed. An updated material physical-geographical zoning of Kharkiv Region based on an updated map of physiographic regionalization of Ukraine, approved at the state level by including info the National Atlas of Ukraine has been carried out. Analysis of landscape differentiation of the Kharkiv region has showed that the NTC highest area occupy NC have the largest variety of landscapes between rivers lowland NTC have beam -valley occupy by smallest area share of the region. Relative safety of the initial state of the beam -valley NTC suggests that the conservation of biological diversity of NTC software and migration of species within ecological corridors, enhance ecological network through the expedient beam -valley landscape.It has been determined that the regional ecological network consists of core areas ( protected areas ) and connecting areas (ecological corridors). Optimization of the structure of the ecological network based on the landscape should be understood as the realization of many possible variants of scientifically sound measures that provide creation of the conditions for long and sustainable use of geographic terrain unity of ecological, environmental and socio- economic functions. The main strategic objective optimization of activities at the present stage of national ecological network formation an of is increase the land area of natural landscapes to be level sufficient to maintain their diversity, close to their natural conditions.
