In order to solve this problem were used a lot of scientific and special methods of research: abstraction, comparison, induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, formalization and systematization. Also were used methods of economic and statistical processing and analysis of data groping, and methods of expert estimates. The study deals with the theoretical issues of technology reengineering. Based on the collected statistics there was developed a mechanism of technology reengineering of the industrial bases of mechanical engineering enterprises.
